H&S Skimmer Aquabee Pump faulty

hi all

a background on my skimmer before the question.

Currently using the external H&S skimmer for almost 1 year. Yesterday, for no reason, the aquabee pump (2000/f) suddenly stop so I switch it off for a night.

Next morning when i turn on the switch, my entire house main power trip (tried twice) and decided to bring my aquabee pump for check.

There wasn't any water in contact with the aquabee pump, thus I'm puzzled to what happened.

wondering if anyone has experienced his/her H&S aquabee pump faulty and caused the main power in the house to trip?

Also, how much does it cause to get a replacement?

You could just go buy a normal aquabee then transfer the needlewheel impeller over.

BTW the model is 2000/L not 2000/f

Further to add, may have to do some PVC fitings modification to the new pump in order to fit as the old pump's fittings cannot be taken out to fit to the new pump.

Just recently I asked the distributor, they said the pump itself cost abt 300+

FYI, the external H&S skimmer can be run in the sump as well, hence

there is no problem if the pump comes in contact with water.

I'm running my external H&S in sump as well

dunno y i bought a outsump model in the 1st place

does anyone know in general if H&S skimmer comes in 1 year warranty? I can't remmebr if there's any. also, does the warranty covers the aquabee pump as well?
