is this brown jelly?

its very saddening to see my hammer which has been with me for 5mths suddenly wither away

i now believe its got sth to do with high no3...50ppm...since another 2 of my corals are browning...have applied AZ no3 and keeping fingers crossed

while checking out the hammer, i saw this brown substance that's growing close to the areas where the flesh starts to recede

i wasn't able to find many photos on the internet on what brown jelly looks like so i'm posting some photos here

i hope someone can help me confirm if its brown jelly that my hammer was facing

i've also snipped awae the heads that had this brown substance leaving behind only 2 healthy heads... :cry:

Ur pict looks more like sponge. If u touch it, does it feel hard?

Brown jelly looks just like slime and it's always on the retracted tentacles.
