Ballpark cost of 4ft set up

Recommended Posts

Hi Fellow reefers,

I'll be relocating to the Lion City soon and would like to set up a new tank. I would like to have ball park cost before I start visiting LFS. Hope you guys can help me with following:

1) Ballpark cost for -

- a Tank of 48in x 36in x 24in dimension, using 12mm glass.

- LR (about 100kg) & 0" for 6in DSB in the main tank.

- a simple sump with 4 vertical compartments.

- The cabinet, hood & the necessary pipings.

I have a rough idea of cost for skimmer, pumps and lightings from the various threads.

2) What is the best way to bring my marine fishes & some soft corals across from Malaysia? Will they be quarantined? I know I would be spoiled of choices in Singapore but wife and I have sentimental attachment to our fishies :P

3) Any friendly and reasonably priced LFS in Paya Lebar/Kembangan areas?

Thanks & appreciate your advice.

Not intend to have a skimmer? SG is quite hot you know...

I think u mean Chiller..rather than Skimmer

Let us work together to preserve the world for our children to inherit by being responsible to our surroundings. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, bubbles and memories.

With the very reasonable price and wide variety of choices for chillers in Singapore, it would be a travesty if you settle for cooling fans instead of a chiller.

Take a look at the sponsors threads in SRC and you'll find everything you need to stock up on fishes, inverts and corals.
