Hi guys...I have got my ELBIRU 55W dual ballasts and my water proof end caps already...

Just asking..what do you all use to mount your water proof end caps on? I know it fits into the commercial FL housing...but then that would be too heavy as I will be mounting it onto the inner side of my tank cover.

I was thinking of supergluing it directly onto my hood...but then it would be hard to take out in future...any suggestions?

drill and screw it into the wood.. and elbiru 55watt is not suitable for t5 tubes

hi spiderone,

theres no eballast that mean for T5 now.......Osram is the closest so far.

most of the reefers here is running using elbiru without any problem. i using mine for 4mth lioa.

look at the cost. if u have more $$ to spare, go for osram. if not, elbiru will also run fine....

take note : 55watt.

actinics will become daylights :)

then why did every1 buy the osram ballast for when they can pay one third the price for a elbiru

It's like asking a question...

Why do so many youngsters keep upgrading handphones? Why do so few buy cheaper older models?

Now ask yourself this question...

What is a function of a handphone? To call people.

It all depends on the individual really. I don't mind things...as long as they WORK.
