SRC Member magern2 Posted September 12, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 12, 2003 I got a bubble tip anemone about 3 weeks ago, and it likes to wander around! Usually it stays on the live rock. But now its gone into a cave in the live rock! How can I get it to come out again??
Achilles Tang
You can't control anemones. It'll come out when it feels like it. Don't worry... it'll know when it's time to recharge its energy store and look for a good spot with strong lighting, either that or it'll eat one of your fishes for food. SRC Member magern2 Posted September 12, 2003 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 12, 2003 The critter has been there for more than 24 hrs already. I tried to (gently) pull it out but didn't work. it's sting feels prickly.

SRC Member magern2 Posted September 12, 2003 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 12, 2003 It can kill if you are allergic to it. Same as bee sting.

oshkosh
Unless you want to rearrange your LRs, if not just let the anemone be. It will stick its head out for light, while it keeps its base in the cave. My did that and stayed that way for weeks, until I rearranged my LRs. SRC Member magern2 Posted September 12, 2003 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 12, 2003 Thats a nice pic of your anemone. My anemone is velly stubborn man. I feel like using a syringe to squirt a small amount of fresh water under it. Maybe then it will let go of the ceiling of the cave.
