Just a thought

Guys, was thinking that how many of those wierd fishes which require a dedicated setup that land in the LFSes actually survive and thrive?

I see fishes like squids and jellyfishes appearing in LFSes very frequently but really, do they even stand a chance to live?

But if you tame me, we shall need each other.

squids and jellyfishes arent exactly fishes

but really. probably 99% of all these creatures dont even survive past a week in our tanks. the thing is, LFSes still bring them cuz some pple actually buy them.

if squid can keep in tank display our local chichar already showcase them liao

some LFS won't be bother too much about the servivability in captivity, as long as they can make money out of you.

I have only read of octopus in a species tank and not a sqiud, but they never publish how long it last in captivity

You are looking at a environmentalist/so called "responsible" reefers point of view.

They are looking at a "the more i sell, the more i earn" point of view.

its a totally different perspective, btw BH, dun tell me u have never buy any fishes without knowing their husbandry and it dies on you shortly since u started reefing?

If your answer is no, then i take my hat off you.

I mean doesn't AVA restrict trade on these animals?
