SRC Member klim Posted July 7, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted July 7, 2005 Hi bro/Sis Reefers, I like to findout a few things: 1. My Calcium is 500ppm and Mag is 1500ppm, is this dangerous? Measure using Tropic Marine Test Kit. 2. If I run a chiller without MH, only normal lighting. Do the water still evaporate alot? As I am running 2 fans and need to top up 20L everyday... 3. Can I put my Bubble Coral on the sandbed? Does it require alot of lighting? 4. Anyone uses PUR II? Is it as good as it mentioned to get rid of NO3 and NH4? Apppreciate your reply. lightningstrike
1. My Calcium is 500ppm and Mag is 1500ppm, is this dangerous? Measure using Tropic Marine Test Kit. test ur dkh. if it is low, u r having ionic imbalance. ur Ca and Mg values r 2 high for comfort. 2. If I run a chiller without MH, only normal lighting. Do the water still evaporate alot? As I am running 2 fans and need to top up 20L everyday... The high evaporation rate possibly comes from ur fans. 3. Can I put my Bubble Coral on the sandbed? Does it require alot of lighting? yes u can. but make sure it receives enuff lights. 4. Anyone uses PUR II? Is it as good as it mentioned to get rid of NO3 and NH4? no comments. Ladyfinger
Another qns: Those bro running Resun CL650, what is ur montly PUB bill? increased by $80? Hi bro, Actually it depend on the temp that u set (how cold u wan it), where u placed ur tank (cool or hot area) and the size of ur tank. For my case, my PUB bill increased by abt $10 per mth only, adjusted at 27 deg for a 3ft tank.
