Alge Breeding Fast!!!!!!!

I have my 4 ft tank for about 3 mth. now.

I notice the alge is fast breeding in the tank.

will it harmful to the fish? :

Please advise.

I dont it will be harmful for the fish.

It just inhibit the growth of good coralline algae.

Quite common for new tanks.. should go away if you keep phospate level down and water para high

Wat sort of algae u refering to? hair? diatoms? macroalgae? or coraline breeding fast?

Yea..starve the algae of phosphates..use contraphos or rowaphos...Can also reduce photoperiod.

the brown brown patches? It is diatoms. Can be remove with snail or scrubbing it off. Or you can just leave it, it would go away once the silicate in your water is under control.

My long spine urchins feed on these & other algaes. Too bad they dont do cyanos ...........
