Try to put the ballasts at a secure place

You don't want them to drop

Keep it up bro!!

Using MAK5 as return. Originally teed-off to chiller as well. Return flow from chiller too low...any suggestions?

Might need a dedicated pump for chiller coz total piping run to and fro will be abt 34' plus vertical head of abt 5'. Si liao! Electric bill skyrocket! :cry2:

Drilled 2 eyelet screws into the ceiling so the cables can be suspended using velcro straps from the eballsts to the lighting rack.

wow your divider tank design is really inspiring!

how long did you take to plan all these?

more more... :)

Thanks AhLoon!

Already had an idea in mind before we bought the flat in December last year. So i suppose planning started then and into the whole renovation process. Still sorting out the finer details.

To tell you the truth...planning never ends. WE ALL still think about how to better improve our tanks all the time don't we? ;)

Cheers!

Access doors are louvred so keep equipment running cool. A little noisy though but gotta trade off somehow. ;)

Very cool. :D

I'm very curious how you will be hooking up the chiller from the balcony area... I'd been thinking about this too... Pls share some pics on this.

Interesting thread to monitor! :)

Hi AhLoon,

Chiller will be located at the aircon ledge just outside the study window. I've stacked the house aircon compressors on top of each other so I'll have enough space for a full-sized compressor waiting for my chiller. Planning to get an arctica commercial later in the year. Will cycle my tank with LR til then.

Now pok-kai already.

If you're thinking of locating the chiller at the balcony, may try Weisoon. He's done just that.

Cheers! :)
