Halo fellow reefers. Anyone out there knows how or where to service a UPS unit? Have an APC Smart-Ups 1400 given by my company. Have tried to plug in but no power and the light indicator also never light up.

tried checking any fuse that may have burned?

Thanks bro! But how to check. I know how to dismental but check fuse I no experience. What kind of tools do i need or just by viewing the fuse for burn mark??

Give APC a call

Have tried that but line till now still busy.

Check the power coil first

If no light most likely the electronic unit or fuse blown. IF fuse you are lucky if electronic unit throw it away.

Most UPSes are dead from low batteries or damaged components on the Power Board. Try to borrow a multimeter and measure the batteries. Assuming the batteries are 12V each (most probably for office units), just see if the total voltage of the batteries is equal to: Amount of battery blocks x 12.5V.

If it is much lower than 12.5V for each block, then changin out the batteries shld work...
