What kind of lighting for you using for LPS?

can i ask what are the difference for the use of blue or white light?

from what i know is that blue brings out flourescent while white for photosynthesis.

so is it ok to use all white light only for a LPS tank?

and what is the power wattage for 3ft 4ft T5 NO? nvr seen 1 b4...

Blue and red is very important for photosynthsis.

White has a bit of both.

Depnding on what you keeping you may need to add blue or red accordingly

LED should be good for LPS.

My hammer, torch, zoas, purple anemone all enjoying good growth.

Invest abit more to save on the opex.

Sps seem to respond Quite well to led lighting, but in my case, my zoas don't seem to pop as they did under t5ho. Anybody else experiencing this? My purple death looking brown under normal lighting only deep purple when I off the main lights and leave the blues on.

I will prefer LED lights. They are bright, coloful and very efficient.

Same goes to mine. Purple look brown using T5.

Don't know if its bad husbandry or something. Because some of the purple death I see is super purple with just whites on.

my tank only consist of softies and lps,currently running 2x250W mh 10kk blv bulbs intend to change to bluer bulbs.
