Hi Eric,

Nice Tang, I saw several at the tank @ Mt E hospital reception area. Where to get them? They look real nice. :P

Ya, I think the clown tang is cheap and nice too.............but whether it can survive under captive is still another ???? So far, my CT is feeding well on algaes in the LR or back glass. Will try out lectuce, nori & broccoli tonight.

Hi Eric,

I had mine for a year plus... Eats anything now and it had grown from a 2 inch specimen to around 4 inch now. I don't know the aggression level of yours, but mine is the BOSS. It allows me to hand feed him and hated my magnetic glass cleaner to the core! (will bite or ram its body against it)

I guess if you allow it to terrorise and be the boss, u'll increase its chance for survival. However, it also means the difficulty in introducing new tangs.

Try to give it more veges... i noticed mine coloration dropped when i feed too much brine/mysis shrimps. Once i feed nori and vege flakes more frequently the color improves.

It's good to hear your success story............what type of nori do you feed it ? Black or green type? If possible can show pic?

My plan is to keep only one tang, so if it survive it will be the King in my tank with 2 Flame Angels as body guards.

I'm probably just pure lucky. I don't consider myself successful for keeping a clown tang for just a year plus. From what I gather from the internet, they have an min avg lifespan of 7 yrs in the wild!

For me, I feed them with Spiralina, Red and purple seaweed, sometimes with cyclops as well. The other tangs love it as well...

I believe yours will do even better as u only intend to keep just one tang.

Cheers.
