anyone seen hector gobies around?

Hi guys,

Don't want to go on a wild goose chase... so was wondering if anyone saw hector gobies around lately.. pref not at the farms or the west side coz I stay in the NE near petmart area...

oh yah.. also.. how effective are rainfords and hectors at controlling algae (hairy algae) if they do at all?

They do eat some forms of hair algae, but they are extremely delicate and the algae consumption rate is not that high. If you have an algae boom, 1 or 2 may not be able to cope.

But one of the problems documented in the books regarding this fish is that it requires the hair algae, otherwise it will starve. But I have seen successful case of keeping this goby (Just look at the display tank at Reef N Nature)
