Hi Guys,

Wanted to ask if anyone knows anything about shipping stuff over from Bangkok. Right now I'm looking to bring some goods over from bangkok from a manufacturer. I understand all the FOB, T/T, Letter of Credit stuff.. but after the goods get onto the ship I'm at a complete lost.

what I need to know is how do I find out how much it'll cost to ship over certain items (by sea) and are there any taxes to pay or things I should take note of? eg. GST, port tax?, if it's electronics do I need to get it stamped for safety etc...

Thanks a lot!

Ervine

Are you shipping LCL or by 20' unit?

LCL charges either by m3 or weight, depending how heavy is the weight.

For electronic stuff, better to get insurance. Cost dependant on your invoice.

Come to Sg, need to pay port tax too. If I did not remember wrongly, should be a few hundred and not forgetting 5% gst if the item is for local use.

So.... my best advice to you is to get a freight forwarder cos it is very headache thingy la.
