i have this problem also.. what i did was remove the rock... brush the rotting part ONLY.. then put back the rock... add your tank more carbon.... after 2 days water super clear...

So are those rocks dead?

Greetings to all the experts in the forum :)

i m new to marine Hoddy,currently we have setup a 2ft marine tank in the company a few days ago.we started to see this white white spider web thing growing on the live rock.izzit normal ?

Its ok, just leave the "dead rock" inside the tank for cycling. Run your skimmer & do not add any fishes or corals for the next 3-5 weeks at least.

since u're new...r u familiar with the term cycling your tank?

pls DO NOT add any fish or corals inside until your tank is properly and fully cycled
