Plant some macroalgae in the compartment

But if you tame me, we shall need each other.

Hi Sis,

Leaving it empty would suffice. Rav65 is right, ceramic rings may be good hosting ground for some nitriying bacteria but they needs constant cleaning to ensure that deritus do not clog and in time becomes a Nitrate factory.

Your LRs and sandbed will provide enough space of nitrifying bacteria to house thus coral chips and ceramics are frown upon now a days by reefers.

Happy reefing. ;)

I suggest u leave it empty too...

Eventually, you can plant some macro-algae... as for the skimmer, upgrade when you have the chance, it's probably your most important piece of equipment now beside the lights and wave-makers in the tank... :P

Will be upgrading the skimmer soon! Any advice as to which skimmers are good for my kind of setup?

I am also aiming to get a Resun CL650 chiller later.

I strongly advise you to use a FR to run Rowa from day 1 ;)
