If using PC, u will need a video capture card (eg. at least Radeon 9200 w/128MB memory), editing software and spare hard disk space to store either VCD or DVD quality files. Certain video capture cards also accept analog input from older videocams and VCR. But if ur videocam has USB 2.0 or Firewire output, it makes things easier as it's in DV.
