frequency of cleaning canister

hello all,

i am using a canister for my nano tank and thus i thought i can rely on chemical filtration and put it inside the canister.

any recommendation for chemical filtration . currently it's just sponge.

and how often do u cleaqn ur canister.

using eheim classic 2215 ,620l/hr for my nano.

its a good idea to add in chemical media, say you wan to add in the popular Chemi Pure at the last basket, and maybe some Seachem Matrix or BioHome to try to cultivate some anerobic bac.

I feel against using too much sponge. the first time i clean them the debrius trapped are awful. Then i threw all but only the first two layer.

yup .. i was thinking of chemipure .feel that putting sponge is just too wasteful. thanks for the advice .

what's the difference btn the red biohome and white biohome. anyone can enlighten mi ??

the red biohomes are with trace element or so call vitamin for growth for bateria while the whites ones are none , it stated for best results should mix both , im using 2215 too perhaps u may consider buying i box red and 1 box white .
