i am with shoelevy

mg is very important for coraline aglae

i know even somepeople while they are doing their cycle just put blue lights on 24-7 and at the end of the 1- 2 month it covered of coralline aglae :o

You don't need blinding lights to have coralline algae. I've had coralline grow in my skimmer which was placed in my sump. The only light it got was room light (indirect sunlight during the day and normal ceiling lights at night). It only occurred after the hooking up of a calcium reactor. Which probably kept Ca, Mg and kH levels conducive to coralline growth.

Always something more important than fish.
