Making SPS stand

Wonder how you guys stick sps to rocks.

Just make a small lump of the epoxy and stick between the base of the sps and rock? - example sticking "blu tac"

Or make one big lump of the epoxy and push the sps into the middle of the lump? - example building something with plasticine :D

I dap a large blob of superglue on the base and press, twist and press again

If you do it correctly, you will see it forms a nice circular base for the specimen to encrust on :P

But if you tame me, we shall need each other.

I just press and give it a really slight twist and then press again

I think you did not hold the specimen long enough for the glue to actually harden

I just got the aquaz epoxy... I tried holding it underwater, but the sps feels stressed and slimy stuff starts to appear...

Initially I put a small blob, but the sps keeps falling down.. then i add a bigger blob, but the sps fell down again.. I try a few times.. and I end up with a huge blob <_<

Now I end up with a huge ugly blob  wonder if i can try to loosen the sps from the epoxy and try to stick again.

First test and find out exactly how you want to position your sps. Then Roll & play ard with the eproxy for 3-5mins, the eproxy should feel a bit harden and more sticky by now. stick the frag on the eproxy and press the eproxy to the rock.

The trick is not to stick the eproxy immediately after mixing. Let it harden a bit first before you press. This way it will hold better.
