Possible to run Macro needlewheel pump externally?

i don't see why not.. only thing is u need to find the needlewheel pump loh...

should be okay only worry is the output cannot take the input from the new pump... but should be ok one i think...

don think u can buy off the shelf.. but confirm have.. those ehiem ones loh but the impeller is a needlewheel...

so which means...pump can get any type...but you need the impeller which is a needlewheel right? normal dymax, rio etc etc all cannot be use as their impeller are not "needlewheel"...please correct me if im wrong.....maybe some macro users can share what type of modification done on their pump....it may helps for us...as i realised that the pump is weak....

yeaps.. any pump can be a needlewheel pump... I DIYed my maxijet 1200 to be a needlewheel before...

erm... ok...

in any case i stopped using the DIY maxijet needlewheel liao.. the skimmer that i built using it didn't really work very well.. so the maxijet now used to stir kalk.. haha...

i believe if u wanna increase the bubble density in the skimmer... only way add another pump to the macro
