SRC Member panlee Posted September 10, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 10, 2003 May I know for MH light, what is the difference between 6500k, 10000k and 20000k bulb? Is it for colour & look only (more blue)? For FL light, we use Actinic blue to supplement 420nm spectrum. Is it needed for MH light? I saw many have MH+FL actinic together. Is it for the blue look only? 6500k, 10000k and 20000k bulb, which one runs hotter? What consideration one use to choose one bulb type from another? Just based on colour (i.e if I want more blue then get 20,000k)? Thanks

Achilles Tang
This thread too. Actually, there are a lot of threads on lighting. Use the search function... keyword 'lighting', 'colour temp' '6500k' etc.
