Clown Trigger Question

Recommended Posts

Anyone kept a Clown Trigger before?

Does it attack other fishes/corals?

I have some nuisance crabs in my tank and I got problem catching them, so thought of this crazy idea to add the Clown trigger in to hunt the crabs down....:evil::evil:

Thanxs for any advise given... :P

 What size is that Trigger ? keep with caution , may attack smaller fish and shrimp ( high risk) ,even the same size fish if it is sick.

:) I 'd recommend to put this fish into your aquarium only when you think your aquarium population is too much

I have a trigger too, so far it dinot ttack my LPS and is feeding well on Formula 1 and 2 dry food

it normally pick it up with some sand and filter the sand out with it mouth

size about 2 inches

My view is do not keep too big a trigger or not will become a bully.

my wife keep triggers.. so far her triggers are well-behaved. even her clown triggers! they dun pick on other fishes but are more aggressive when it comes to feeding time.

all triggers have different personalities (she had a niger who was a terror, so it was expelled from her tank. her current niger is a amiable fellow)

one of the rule is intro the aggressive fish last and keep them belly-happy!

in our opinon, angel fishes are the pai-kia of the tanks... esp emperor!

Kept a pink-tail and nigger before and very docile. Agree with DB that angels are more problematic than triggers when you talk about reefsafe. But shrimp save is a difference story.

BD, Flubb ask where you have disappeared to.....???

I saw your wife at a symposium a few months back but she cannot recognise me. Anyway, I have move to Primary liao... :pinch:

I think (marine) therefore I am

 It seems like I don't have any good luck in having Trigger

The first time I had a Picasso, and he cleared my two Percula out from my Tank and for the second time I had a Clown Trigger ,he always nip on corals ,he got more and more aggressive ,finally he challenged my carpet Anemone and became its dinner. That is how the story end. :cry2:

triggers are not advisable if you are keeping other small fishes, they are very agressive.

maybe we can introduce them last and its the smallest fish in the tank? would like to mix clown trigger with other fishes

B) if you 'd like to introduce some friends after the Trigger I recommend Anglers , Lions or Eels .
