Yeah what lighting are you using............. Both clams you mention here require lots of light(recommended- metal halide)........... Anyway maxima can grow rather large and crocea is one of the smallest tridacna clam species............... But the main point here is what lighting are you using

I am already a little jittery about clams in my 4FT tank.....but if you have all the correct setups.....Maximas are very nice...Croceas as well.....if you maintain sufficient calium level and provide MH light for your tank...they will do well....

like DA says...they will grow....when they are too big...upgrade your tank....or sell me lah :D
