any good and reputable marine shops?

hi, everybody! just started with marine fish and now in the process of cycling the tank. Btw, anybodyknow any gd marine fish shops in singapore? Currently, i buy my stuff from Wong Loy kee at chinatown. Are their reputation gd or bad? The stuff i bought are 3ft fish tank, jebo power filter, hydrometer, air pump, undergravel filter, t5 lights, sand, salt and no2 test kit. These are recommend yy the owner. I intend to keep a marine and live-rock tank for the moment nw. Are the equipment enough?

Well the 'marine shops' near tampines are all at Pasir ris area.

Good marine shop is very hard to define. Every shop carry different kind (brand) of equipment and livestock. It will depend on what are you looking for.

Looking at the list of things you bought, I personally will not use them for a marine tank. I used those before and i know why i buy those in the first place. One simple reason---- LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.

Like other reefers had suggested, read up articles in the forum. A good place to start would be in the Members' Tank area where you can see how other reefers set up their tank and why/what kind of equipments they choose.

Sugguest you stop buying for now until you are sure what you are buying.

Hi bro,

Bro acidjazz is rite, dont go for undergravel filter, get a sump. I think u also need a good protein skimmer if u r serious into this hobby. Me too learned thru the hard way until now still learning. But there r minimum things that u must have.
