Your tank is like mine. Let me offer a few tips....your tank is like mine running on 6mm glass. 4 feet X 18 inch X18 inch.

Due to the glass thickness...I would'nt recommend you to add a deep sand bed. A sparse layer of sand would do. As for rocks do not put too much. As for water level...try to keep it as low as possible. For example...my water level is only about 15.5 inches. I keep it around there...planning to lower it to 15 eventually. This will reduce stress placed on your glass by the water.

If your tank is still empty..you could build an inbuilt overflow and drill a hole at the bottom of your tank so that the water can flow into your sump via gravity.

If your tank is already stocked like mine...oh well..live without a sump.

Hi!

FuEl is right. If your tank is empty then you can get it drilled and make an overflow box. Most of the time you need to send your tank to a shop to get it done. Which might cost you alot. Dunno how much though, never done it. :D

Another option is to get an Overflow Siphon Box. :nc::sick::nc::sick::D:lol:

That will solve your problems. :nc::nc:

Or get some glass cut and add some extra bracings to your tank. Something which I should have done for mine..but oh well..sigh..

Ian>>>whats a I-box? It's an internal filter right? You mean it's an overflow siphon box which I can connect to a sump?
