Help on mimic tang

Hi guys, this afternoon damm suay couldn't find my mimic tang... after sometime then saw the tang stuck at my seio pump.... Thought the tang was dead when i took it out.... but surprisingly the tang swam away....

The fins are ok... but body abit damaged... The body was sucked by the inlet gap of the seio pump till there are 2 small little humps on the body due to the ######...

The tang still swimming in my tank and i dare not catch it in case i stress it further...

My question now is will the tang die or if recover will the humps be permanent???

Anyone experience this before????

My baby Blue Tang suffered the same fate a couple of mths back with its head inside the blowhole. It suffered a deep cut on its body & some abrasions. Now it has grown up into a fine specimen.

Juz leave the fish alone & as long as it is eating there's shouldn't be any problem.

Ok thanks brother... the tang is doing fine.. but doesnt seem to like pellet or dried seafood....

only like to peck on LR and tank for algae... so what shld i do? or just let it be??? will it die of starvation??

As long as the fish is pecking & grazing, you needn't worry. You can also add some garlic to the pellets to entice the fish to eat.
