DIY skimmer - Mazzei Injector with Macro 350

Hi fellow reefers,

anyone tried to hook up a mazzei injector to an input of Macro 350? Reason I'm looking at this is that i do not have to construct the body of the skimmer if i can just reuse the Macro.

will this work?
