Butterfly

I hv tried b4 as a kind of experiment back when not much was known abt the behaviours of marines.

My personal observations & not to be taken as a generalisation of their behaviours:

Copperband, banner & longnose generally leaves the corals alone & likes to attack polyps, tubeworms & cocoworms.

Pearscale doesnt disturb polyps, mushrooms, leathers, fingers, cauliflower.

One common thread found- ALL butterflies loves brain hahaha.

I wud like to reiterate again that these are just observations done in the past & is not a generalisation of their behaviour.

Best to not take the risk.

Anyone tried putting butterfly with ur corals?

bubble/hammber/polyps/mushies?

very tempting to buy 1 leh....:kiss::kiss:

Eh IMO long nose butterfly species which include long nose, copper band are rather safe with coral you mentioned.... And btw they love to eat pesky aiptasia(bad for a reef tank)

other butterflies are not a very good choice, as they might attack the coral you mention but some rrefer in RC have tried putting some butterfly species in thier tank and with success...........
