Man, I miss Perth so much! Was there for the past 5 years & now I'm back in SG!

Are fishes & equipment expensive in Perth?

My friend brought me to this Fish shop in Willeton (near Leach Hwy). Unfortunately I can't remember the name off the top of my head now. And the ppl at the shop are really friendly.

the fish shop is pieces they got nice staff but lately they livestock not up to scratch ...

next time come down say hi lah hopeful by then i have my Ps and i can bring u around all the lfs i know ....

also yesterday there was a moving sale at a lfs

i picked up a CBS breeding pair (from their display tank) for only 20 bucks (here its about 50+) and they quite big too i take some pictures afterwards ... but i notice they starting to pick on the banggi dont know if they trying to kill them >.> or clean them any ideas ?

Hey ciaolong, wow, firstly , i love your marine concept, really ,it do look like a fish shop.(LFS) haha, I am awaaiting for thoes corals tanks to come by 3-4footer..I really love the concept...and WAd? your dad is opening a suppermarket? at where? maybe can visit during the sch hols.

some prawn meat flew pass the white one and it grab it and ate it .... i dont they are dead yet lol...

today was soo much fun went out shopping for more plumbing stuff

i FINNALLLY did the plumbing of the fish only tanks .... i get some pics asap after i have a shower since one of the pipe decided to come off and spray in my the face so nice i am all wet with salt water in my mouth

i also been cleaning the garage for more room hopeful to expand my fish room

cause i also be doing fresh water fish too from guppies to cichlids

Next Mission - Do the coral setup plumbing then on the lighting then the stock

I just got back from Perth end of April for a graduation and working now. If not working, I wouldn't mind taking the next plane down under! The weather now must be gorgeous, unlike the hot muggy weather here.

today it just a very bad day

woke up morning to find my monti with stn .... i have frags off the good looking parts but they look like they got stn too i dont wether to take them out or leave them and hope the best cause i dont want the stn to spread ...

the biggest one with the big patch of stn has some live parts and under a jewlery glass i saw that they still have polpies GREEN ones too ... (didnt see any red bugs) so i dont know wat to do ....

anyway after that some shit happened (none marine stuff) then this after none my heater blew up in the fish room so when i got back the water was freezing >< i change the heater over ... the bangii are in the fish only system now i hope they werent to stressed ... and the cbs are in the same tank but the water is warm now ...

the worest news is that i have to put alot of shit on hold ... due my parents having trouble with the supermarket so i gotta help them out ...

sigh ...

i dont think i putting anymore sps in my main 2 ft atm ... after that stn ... once the 4ft and coral system i will get more sps . i dont think i even get anymore corals until the systems are up so basicly everything is on a hold ... but i will be still fragging the softies i know alot of ppl want a peice of my yuma (purple with green and brown and orange mouth) so anyway i tired do some work when i am free ... but for now everything will be slow like a truck going up a steep hill ...

well things went well today thanks to alan i got some new corals

i also add the sand to the tank and water plus done the plumbing not as good as i want but it will do for now i cant use the 4000lhp pump atm so i just use it for the beckett and just add powerheads in the tank for more flow

i kind of worry if the cabinet will hold the tank when the rocks comes in. will you install a removeable pillar at the centre front?

ermm well the cabinet front will be adding some door's once we get the wood so i guess we be adding a middle wood i let my dad do it cause if it breaks i can make him buy a new one haha

I doubt the cabinet can take the full weight of a reef tank after some time. You might want to seriously reconsider the cabinet support..............for the good of the thousands of dollars of live stocks you going to keep later.

as i said be4 ... the will be pillars put in just waiting for the wood ...

and i think this wood is quite strong because be4 we move it it was in the old subway office and use to have heaps of machines on it for like 5 years ... but as ppl are saying i will put pillars in as soon as the wood comes or my dad has time too

yo all it been awhile since i updated

first of july !!!

anyway everything has moved from the 2ft to the new 4ft just waiting for some new equipment from singapore like my new lighting !!! right now i am just using the 150w mh from my 2ft until the 4ft one comes. it seems for now i put all the corals in the middle so they get the usally amount of life (except the suncoral cause they dont need it) also it seems my cbs might be ready to mate so i be keeping any eye on them.

nothing else special

few things i got planned to do

get all my lighting for all my tanks ready

and add some lights to the bottom so i can put my macro aglae in

setup the old 2ft tank into my new seahorse (seagrass) tank

buy some new corals atm the tank look so empty

o yeah about the support my dad decide to be really buzy with the new store opening so the support was not added. everything seems fine i even sat on it (the front middle) so it seems i can add maybe another 60-70kg and its fine (that how much i weigh) lol

anyway here some pictures of the tank its a bit messy atm also need some comment on the rock work (found out my flash makes all my colours all go brown >.>)

today went downstairs to check on the tank i found my heater blew up ........ and i saw sparks come out i turned off the power and took out the shattered heater out ! i have no idea why it shattered ... anyone know why a heater would shatter ???

i put a spare heater in so hopeful that one wont shatter and lucky all my livestock are alive and not dead ...
