Yo all

i thought i finally do a journal here =)

i was in sydney for like 1 month and once i got back my parents decide to move house so like half of my stuff was missing !!! :furious: took awhile to settle down into the new house. one of the things they didnt move was my 2 foot fish tank so i had a fun time cleaning that up and moving it =)

now the fish tank is next to my plasma tv so the fishes can watch tv too :nut:

anyway here are the specs of the 2 foot tank

Equipment

- 1 x 500 lph power head

- 1 x aquavia venturi skimmer

- 55 w heater

- 1x150W 14,000K ; 2 x 24W PL blue

Live stock

- 2 x Amphiprion ocellaris

- 2 x banggai cardinals (juv)

- 1 x twin spotted goby

Corals

- fungia

- mushrooms

- star polyps

- BTA

- zoos

- bubble coral

- unknown one :book:

I just got digital camera from my sister (she was in syd)

so now i can take pictures

My dad and I just finished the new plumbing for the new 2 foot tanks that will be all joint to make a big system =)(fish only tanks)

and those 3 x 4 foot tanks will be my new coral tanks

My Lighting I took from the new supermarket my dad is opening (turning into t5 or 6 x 40w tubes for the soft coral tank)

anyone know how to remove that blue stuff (the one u use to join pipes) my dad kicked it over >< !

Anyone know a good DIY protien skimmer i wanted to make a huge one for the 4 foot system i got 3 air lift skimmers but

i rather make my own =) since i got soooo much acrylic

2 Sheets of acrylic sheet i got free from the supermarket builders

Oh, blastos are a short form for blastomussa

There are a lot of species under this phylum

So a search here and you will gets lots of results

i got my sister to buy me some books in syd eg "Aquarium Corals"

soo i will never get a mis id again

now i gotta make a book shelf for all my aquarium books then i gotta start work on the skimmer then i be adding the water for the other tanks

end of the week i be going for a shopping spree so keep in tune for new coral pictures (spending alot of money maybe 500 + for corals)

Fish Tank without frag box

Decide to remove the frag box and put the frags into the tank with a small amout of netting around them so they dont fly off the rocks i put them on

funniest thing once i remove the frag box about 100+ copepods came out of the box and back into the tank ... my whole glass was covered of them .... so i decide to make a small house for them on the left side

When i was fragging my fungia i addicently hit my mother fungia and the plate fell off

the plate survied but alot of ppl told me there was a 50 % chance the stem wouldnt but it did

its an sps i know that for sure so maybe it is Pocillipora

it can also be Stylopora,both stylo and pocilli looks almost the same to me

woah. all from WA. I wonder if anybody here is from VIC. I miss looking at fishes over here, and the only fish I saw are the goldfishes at Queen Vic Market, and my friend's two black goldfish.
