Electricity In Water

I just put my fingers into my water today and could feel electricity. Something like ants biting my fingers...dunno why...but I like getting addicted to feeling the electric current.

But how come...I can feel...but how come my fish and inverts are all happy with being electrocuted?

Always something more important than fish.

simply because there is no current flowing through them. You can feel the sting because you are standing on the ground and the current moves from the water through yr body and to the ground.

Try standing on a wooden or plastic stool and feeling the water, you wont get the sting again

normally, electric leakage comes from pumps and lights. I'll connect the earth(from power point) to any screw on the lights.

As for pumps, switch off the pumps one at a time, and test the water with a test pen. replace the pump that causes the problem. I connect a cable from the lights (which is earthed) and clip it at the edge of tank without removing the pump. My test pen don't light up. :D
