Hi guys, I've 2 local Fan worms which crawled out of its "cocoon", 1 is already out and lying on the sandbed (anyway it can be save? or izzit already dead) the other one is half out already... wanna know under wat circumstances does fan worm "crawl" out of its "cocoon"

I've a bluefin damsel, a cleaner wrasse, 2 camel back shrimps, 1 tiger pistol shrimp and 1 algae blenny in the tank... anyone of the above is the culprit? :nc:

Hmmm..they won't die. Just make sure nothing eats them during this time. If best separate them into your sump or a separate container. Provide fine sediment that you can siphon out from your main tank and they should rebuild their homes soon enough. Camel shrimp eat anything... :nuke:

Always something more important than fish.

I don't know if mine is also a fan worm. I find the brown tube too long and curvy so I go and cut it shorter. Accidentally I cut the worm tip as well. After cutting I stuck it into one of the holes in the LR and seems ok till now (after 3 days).

Yo OJK, thanks for the advice... hmmm the thing is now I can't find both the worms... any chance they'll "dive" into the sand to take cover/recuperate? At first I thot the pistol shrimp was the culprit... :P

Tube/Fan worm will come out of its "house" for 2 reasons:

-There is something wrong with your water parameters

-Its finding for food (phytoplankton and liquid organic foods)

Hmmm I understand the 2 factors u mention but I had 3 fan worm 1 indon 2 local (that's wat the LFS said) anyway, the indon fanworm still around and very nice maroon red color very healthy... the other 2 local fanworm which came out is no where to be found (hopefully they're recuperating in the sandbed :whistle )

I just got myself another indon one

Anyway I'm looking for coco worm anyone seen them around or any nice fan/tube worm?

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
