Or there are maxima's scute that are as obvious as thioeh's squamosa clam? Juz wana get the fact clear..... 'cos I used to use that noticeable scute to identify squamosa clam. Yup.. maxima usually being a smaller species have scutes more compact together, of course smaller than those of squamy...
