bro, remember for beckett its the pump driving it that is important. Other consideration will be heat issue, noise level and electrical consumption. Read up past forum / review on other reefer's beckett before you take the plunge.

ohh... so should i get a chiller or a beckett 1st??

because if i use a beckett that means the pump might produce quite an amount of heat which a fan cannot handle but if i get a chiller 1st there might be an bio overload right?? P.S. correct me if i'm wrong....

may be get the external pump to drive the beckett. e.g MD40 or MD55. pressurize pumps are good for beckett and most are used for external. perhaps, small "good" needlewheel is good alternative if you worry for power consumption.

this is my personal opinion only ;) for smaller tank and since you just want to keep softies, fishes and many hermits or may be some hard corals, good needlewheel is good enough (lower power consumption). if you want to go for a bigger tank with heavy bio-load and more demanding hard coral - those need very clean water. beckett is a good choice or may be a bigger needlewheel. however, end result almost the same with the backett, b'cos you will use more power to drive the bigger needlewheel.

this is my personal opinion :P there is no right or wrong answer, either one is good :P

so, it all depende of what you want and your setting budget and also your long term plan ;)

bro, get the chiller first, md55 can produce quite a bit of heat if you are planning to use beckett. .
