They are actually zooplankton feeders. I am kept one for 4 moths liao without any deliberate feeding. :D

I kept it in my dsb sump together with my 2 griess, 1 pair of coral banded shrimps and 1 tanagroai goby. All without deliberate feeding. :)

To me, the garden eels are very shy and gentle creatures that will not bother small fishes (even griess). But must never be kept with more aggressive fishes.

Anyone keeping them in 2ft tank, tink abit too small for them leh. DSB abt 3inch.

my holding tank is 2ft 2" SB only.... my new tank is

2.5' 3" SB... if cannot then will keep in the refugium with 6"DSB....

but seems like 2" is enough liao mine like to move around in the tank....

i have 1 in my tank also.... at first i thought my GE was dead as i've not seen in for the past 2 weeks since i put it in.... :cry2:

then i went to arrange my rocks .... and flip thru the sand ... really cannot find. THen i finally conclude it's dead but last week i saw it's HOLE in the sand bed.... but my goby always go to cover the hole that my GE has made....
