tank has brown stain

hi, I setup a 2ft tank for about 2 mths now. recently, brown stains statrted accumulating at the skimmer and all round the tank. Is this dirt? I use filter wool to clean it off but they came back again the next day. please advise

Pretty sure its diatom. How long do you fire your lighting per day if i may ask?

i uses only normal white light and maybe turn it on for a few hours per day.

Get an algae benny, they like these stuffs......you will get lipsmarks everywhere.....

try increasing the flow at the area that is brown.

check ur NO3 and PO4

4 hours per day at nite only. I didnt check parameters except SG
