cleaner shimps

hey all three of my cleaner shimps were doing fine ytd. when i woke up and check the tank tdy, i only saw one shimp and two empty shells. wad does this mean? the changing shell or up lorry. .

i guess most likely the other two is hiding but not dead. the current one will molt too eventually.

either dead or molted. Cleaners seldom hide. try to find, if not up lorry le.

usually dun hide. u put in shrimp that time did u slowly follow the process cos they sesnsetive to sudden water change

Me woke up and saw -:

1. 01 x foxface

2. 01 x purple tang

3. 04 x clown fish

4. 01 x cow head

5. 02 x cleaner shrimp

6. 02 x harlequin

7. 04 x fire shrimp

8. 02 x monkey shrimp

All in the list is up the lorry .

Only two survivor my yellow gobies.

Strange coral all fine. Not to steal your thread but trying to say maybe you have better luck.

i found all 3 of the shimps. they just came out when i started feeding again. . so they were only molting.

bro flying carpet, tank crashes are sad but it happens to most reefers at one point or the other. i experience one 4 years ago, cuz tt time different technology, no sump, running on canister, lack of knowledge, no src to share ideas etc. . but anyway the point is quite a few reefers i know including myself have tank crashes b4. Its a heartache thing and i did give up reefing then, but here i am taking a second chance! cheers.

bro, the pbt doing very well in the tank, quite active. . so far so good. although the pbt is the biggest tang, but never go and disturb the other two tangs. . if everything is good and nothing happens in another two weeks, i might add in another blue and yellow tang.

haha. . the tangs all about 2.5 inch only, still alright. Now i am feeling that my 3x2x2.5ft tank not big enuff. . choinging any lfs ltr?

I've a small blue tang (about 1.5cm only) and 2 cleaner shrimps. This little fellow has been chasing these 2 shrimps into their cave until they dare not come out to eat during feeding time.

As time passed by, this blue tang even goes in and fight with one of the shrimp. One of them died, and he still continued to fight with the other shrimp. Finally yesterday or the day before, the blue tang was missing and the cleaner shrimp indeed start coming out to hunt for food. Till now, the blue tang is still missing in action and can't even find his dead body.

More like in the movie "Finding Nemo" but it's true and it's going on in my tank! Couldn't even believe it myself.
