Diatom problem

relax lar....just do your water changes regularly and soon it will go away....its a stage every reefer will face....

for y the tap water filteration would work, its probably there are still sillicate, nirtate and phosphate within the sands and LR itself...give it time, it will exhast it itself.....

diatoms cover sand is still not tat bad..get some sand shifters shld do the job...

but when diatoms start covering ur rocks...there will be a headache!!!

I got a abalone. One of my LR tat's near to the light are having this brown green algae. But somehow the abalone not eating them...... Any advice?

diatom i would say 90% of the reefers will kanna .... at least once

some pple i know use RO water from the very beginning also encounter diatom problems...

u might wanna check ur NO3 and do grow some alage in ur refugium its pretty effective

so u add another light at the sump.....bills oh my bills
