Yes I think the word is " consistent temperature ". Most inverts cannot tolerate too much fluctuations in temp & fishes usually get stressed and diseased when temperature chgs too quickly.

Main Tank : 48 inch by 36 inch by 28 inch (2 sides starphire glass)
Sump Tank :
Return Pump :
Chiller : Starmax Compressor 1 HP Drop coil
Chiller Return Pump
Protein Skimmer :
Wave Maker :

It is OK if the temp raises up slowly which is going to be the case.

Doesn't matter. So that means if yours is 32 and you put ice to drop it to 24 suddenly. There is a good chance they will be stress and die. Good chance does not mean sure die..

Anyone dares to challeng my cliam?

SS

only someone mad wld do it...

I think the main point is stable temperature. Normal recommended is 26-28. If your tank is always 30 then it 'might' (i am no expert) be ok as the livestock would adjust to them. It is no good to throw iced bottle to cool the temparature, sudden change no good.

I myself have kept lps corals at 31C consistently without them dying on me. But I think that is at the very end of the temperature limit.

The thing is that the corals get used to the higher temperatures at the LFS, and if you maintain it at the same temp consistently, it should not be a problem.

The higher the water temperature the less oxygen content you have in the water.

Cooler temperatures will mean more dissolved oxygen..meaning you can have more livestock.

Always something more important than fish.
