anyone using venturi skimmer can share share hows the performance?

bro.. there are a lot of venturi based skimmers out there which range widely in price and performance... perhaps u can be more specific in a particular brand?

Agree with ervine.Even if you want a comparsion between different ways of skimming ( reverse-flow,needle wheel, etc), different makers give very different results. Ultimatey, what constitutes a good skimmer is the kind of skimate you want to achieve and is able to sustain the bioload of your tank.

venturi, needle wheel, spray injector and even downdraft can have better performance model.

Try to narrow down to a brand, technology, budget. And maybe share about your current set up so others can have a grasp of where to start advising/sharing.

thousand apolog. will find out more on venturi then post my question. me current own a basic 3 ft. had just order a 5 x 2.5 x 2.5. yet most likely will be in this weekend. will go slow on this new setup.
