Is The Worst Yet To Come

Ive a 2 ft tank. 6 weeks ago I passed aLFS and got fasinated with the marine fish

I bought from the guy basic salt,sand,$15 china made protein skimmer and a EHEIM2222. Now into its 6 weeks I have in the tank 6kg live rock 2 pieces mushrooms. Fishes include 2 crown 1 blue tang 1 flamed angel and 1 bi-colour angel. I noticed the mushrooms are doing fine, no smell from the live rocks ,clear water and most importanly fishes swimming happily. Can someone please advise me if I am doing right or the WORST is yet to come. First time in here. Many thanks

you shd have gone slow man..that's too much for a tank that has only cycled 6 weeks and did you buy all at one go? have you got your water parameters tested?

For 2 ft tank, you have exceeded the limit...IMO, you should keep at most 3-4 fishes only under such condition. You should only keep 1 angel or 1 tang only for 2 ft. Cheers !

Sorry follow that typical LFS advise. I didnt know about your site until a week ago. Tested the PH etc quite ok but not perfect O. Lights I will change soon. Presently using my ex LUOHAN lights. What I do now ? Thanks again.

hey blue tang are big fish and should no way be placed ina 2 feet tank... suggest you read on up each fish more before buying....... And also a small tank can never have 2 dwarf angel as dwarf are rather territorial and should be placed only one per tank or fighting will occur.............. Pls read up more ok............

I think you can stop buying live stock, esp corals, for the time being. Mushrooms are quite hardy, but will still bleach if the lights are not changed soon.

i suggest you buy some test kits and test out the water parameters.and you would have to wash that canister regularly lest it becomes a nitrate factory.

I believe drawf angels are ok... I've kept 2 fishes together before. But its kind of overcrowded in your tank.

IMO, if u r goin into reef.... dun add in anymore life stock..

if not reef... a few more fishes is alrite...

consider gettint a better skimmer

Yup thats what i think so to especially witht he blue tang........... Anyway hope you succeed in your tank cheers
