50/50, some say 100%. One thing is for sure, it's a big risk. Don't even try. It applies to all angels. One day it can suddenly turn manic and start eating your corals and clams.

Just avoid them in a reef tank.

depend on luck. B)

heard people said that brain coral and tube worm always happen the first choice of angle fish :P

i have bicolor angle so far did not disturb my coral :D

about 1 years is ok until she died :sick:

ps: just take note that bicolor not so easy start eating. need time train for it.

IMHO,

chances of an angel being reef-safe is low.

learn it the hard way. had a flame angel that was well-behaved, then intro another angel n learn all the bad coral-picking habits from it!

an angel leave ur corals alone but might decide on a new menu one day... ;)

and bi-color not easy to keep/feed.

i think tangs are a safer bet in ur reef tank

yeah and IMO tang are much more beautiful... especially deepblue sohal

My bicolor has been in the tank for abt 4 yrs already & it only grazes on the algae growing on the live rocks. Doesnt disturb my corals at all

Main Tank : 48 inch by 36 inch by 28 inch (2 sides starphire glass)

:( Had a bicolor too, just introduced into my tank on tuesday. Having problem to get it start eating, had tried pellets, flake, frozen mysis shrimp and even placing some vegetable inside my tank but it just don't eat. It only nip around the LR and I am bit of worry. Can anyone with positive experience to share. :thanks:

I have one that was with me

She is one of the pioneer

more than 2 yrs liaoz ....

no special formula to make it eat

think just pure luck

But now it becomes a nuisance

starts to pick on my hammer

I personally think normal angel will peck at coral but dwarf angel will have 50-50 chance of not peck...

50% chance it won't peck at the corals on introduction into the tank. 99% chance it will if kept long enough.
