Isopod infestation. Nuke it manually using forceps before it reproduces and infestations become unmanageable. You mean 3mm? 3cm would be an overgrown parasite!

hmm, care to explain further? hahah, dun really get wad u mean :thanks::paiseh:

Isopods are what you have..these are like leeches that suck blood from the fish. Best if you get maybe a wrasse of some sort to finish them off..Hyposalinity willkill them too.. biological control is better option though. Since most probably they are all over in your tank. I might get slammed for this suggestion..but if the infestation is really bad a cleaner wrasse might be considered. Sacrifice one fish to save others. A six line wrasse might help too..but these tend to get aggressive over time.

Always something more important than fish.

As Fuel suggested. I saw one isopod latch on to the tail of my leopard wrasse when "morning" came. It simply curved itself and bit the isopod which promptly scooted off! :D

I also caught 2 so far..... Anyone got any idea how this thing pick its prey? when the preys r weak? They r bloody fast swimmers. I'm using a clown fish as a bait in a container. Hopefully they come.....

This parasite got any sexes? reproduction easy?

Dear bros, i wonder if hypo or copper can kill there sucker.

cant take them off my fish fins as i worried i might injure it.

can i cut part of the fins away? will the fins regrow back?

just gently pull it away.

if not, catch the fish out and put in freshwater for 1-2 minutes.

give it a very quick freshwater bath. the parasite will drop off.
