crushed coral

Can I use crushed coral for my scooter blenny cos I observed it liking to dig into the fine sand while sleeping. I dun have a pic of the grade of crushed coral but i suppose they are around 1mm.

u mean u using crushed coral for sandbed???

normal sand also can..... so far only kep my scooters with grade 0 sand...

I find grade 2-3 more suitable if you want a proliferating harpacticoid copepod population. These are epibenthic detritivores and population is directly correlated to surface area made available for them to reproduce.

well i am using those normal sand now but had problem vacuuming the debris. So intended to use finer crushed coral on a up coming new tank setup but was worry it doesn't suit the scooter. He's my favourite.... (must service it well)
