Orchid Dottyback not eating

Recommended Posts

Hi Reef keeper friends,

Recently, my orchid dottyback (fully grown at least 8 cm) has become very shy and has not eaten for a few days. It just stay a near a crevice beside a rock. Not sure what spooked it?

Anybody had such experience with this dottyback?

:off: On the other hand, rather than letting it continue this behaviour any longer, I am willing to let go of this fish at $30 (negotiable) to anyone whom you think your tank is a better place for this fish. Mine is only a 2-ft tank.

Rgds.

Felix

Had a pair of them but never have this encounter as both will come out of the cave when it's feeding time.

Pardon me for saying this, but if it continue to hide in there. Pretty soon you will lost it. Btw, what other LS do you have in the tank?

Thanks Neokn.

Current LS is Long nosed Hawkfish, 6-lined Wrasses, 2 purple anthias & 2 common clownfishes.

Suspect the orchid dottyback was frightened by the 4-striped damsel which I have since removed.

Anyway interested in purchasing my dottyback to bring it back to normal behaviour, please drop me a note. Price is negotiable.
