a fellow reefer told me can get at sim lim tower...

it's a shop at the basement, dunno which one... maybe u go ask ard n find the cheapest one lor

last time i bought from Sim Lim Tower. If you are going to the basement from the main door(there a stairs right after you enter the main door), it should be on your left, it's a corner shop. they sell a lot of switches. good luck on your hunt and DIY!

bro. is that a DIY float switch or just a float switch holder?

This was a DIY water top up system i saw on the web. Basically it is a float switch with PVC pipes as the bracket. The PVC pipes also serve to protect the wire from water splash as wire go thro them.

i see, i thought the switch itself was DIY, would really like to see what's inside those PVC if it were cause when I DIY'd my own before, the single biggest cost was the switch

it came together when i sold my old 5 footer. now my cabinet no space for top up tank hence didn;t bother to make a new one.
