Recently I noticed that a piece of my LR fully covered with coraline algae has white patches.

I believe that the white patches are the die off of coraline algae. This also happen to one of the trochu snail too. Part of it turn white.

Anyone know why coraline algae is dying? Is it due to some incorrect water parameter? Got to tackle it before the problem become uncontrollable.

All I can think of is that I haven't change for close to 2 mths already.

Occasionally I still dose Kalk, calcium, iodine, strontium, coral vit etc.

I find it hard to maintain my dKh, always drop though I dose alkalinity plus.

Tank 4x2x2.5

Bro, I think you already know th answer. ;)

If you can drip kalkwasser nightly, you will be able to more or less maintian KH and Ca.

If you change you water more frquently, you will be able to remove excess DOM and also replenish trace elements. ;)
