help: why does my fishes always get white spots?

hi,

i've just set up a new 2ft x 1ft x 1.5ft tank and pretty new to this aquarium hobby. Don't know why the fishes that i bought (Japanese angel and Purple tang) started to develope white spots few days after i bought them, but they are otherwise feeding well.

Been treating them with ParaGuard from seachem, but the spots seem to come and go. Any advise on what are the possible cause of the spots?? what can i do to save them??

as long as you are treating them either with medication or hyposalinity, they will get over it. I started my regal tang with similar case, but now stable liao.

Keeping your water clean helps tremendously.

IMO, 2ft tank is too small and stressful for the Angel and Purple tang, it may tk some time for them to get over the ich cycle and be immune. U shld start off with easier and hardy fish instead of this 2 type.

Meanwhile do not add more fish, and maintain stable and tip top water parameters. Add garlic guard to the food also.
