can resun md55 be run in water?

considering an md55 but was wondering if it can be run insump like eheim pumps.

either u want to kill yr md55 or kill yr LS (due to powertrip etc) or kill yourself.

bro' .. u look at md55. .and compare to eheim pump.. see any diff?

These are external pumps, meant to be used OUTSIDE water only!

Don't ever get these in contact with water.... poof!!!!

No lah- what would be dumb is that if you had gone about dunking in the resun, then asking the club if there's any way to salvage the system.

since it has to be run outsump, another question came over my mind

if it's to be run outsump, does it have to be secured onto the wooden plank which my sump sits on or can it just be placed on the wooden plank without being secured?

would there be lots of vibration from the pump?

you can place a styrofoam board underneath the pump to absorb the vibrations.

The last time i used a MD55 I did not secure it - just like unknown, placed it over a piece of styro.

Other then resun pumps, are they any other brands that has pump that work externally?

There are quite a few out-sump pump. Resun, Iwaki, Dragon, eheim, are the popular ones.

Only the resun-MD series and iwaki MD series must be used out of sump
